Thiruvananthapuram: Mathrubhumi Books has received the award for production instituted by the Kerala State Institute of Children's Literature. ‘Tolstoy Paranja Aesop Kathakal’ published by Mathrubhumi Books was selected for the award.
Sreejith Perumthachan was selected for the top honour Pala K M Mathew award for his novel ‘Kunjuvinundoru Katha Parayan’. The award comprises of a cash prize, sculpture and felicitation letter.
Other awardees are Myna Umaiban for ‘High Range Theevandi’ in the category of novel, Pakalkkuri Viswan for ‘Chakkarakinnam’ in poetry, Sandhya R for ‘Nammude Bappu’ in knowledge, E N Sheeja for ‘Anganeyanu Muthira Undayath’ in retelling, Dr T R Jayakumari and R Vinod Kumar for ‘Kurinjikal Katha Parayunnu’ in science, Dr Vilakkudi Rajendran for ‘Kuttikalude Vyloppilli’ in biography, N G Suresh Kumar Pullangadi for ‘Beerbal kathakal’ in illustration, and K K Ashok Kumar and K Sasikumar for ‘Kunjunniyude Yathrapusthakam’ in drama.
