Kozhikode: Writer K R Viswanathan has been selected for the 29th Bheema Balasahithya Award, informed Bheema Balasahithya Award Committee general secretary Ravi Palathungal in a press meet.
K R Viswanathan hails from Kuravilangad in Kottayam. He won the award for the children’s novel titled ‘Kunjanana’. The award comprises a cash prize of Rs 70,000, sculpture and felicitation letter.
The award will be handed over to the winner in a ceremony to be held at Chevayoor in February by the Bheema Balasahithya Award Committee president B Girirajan. The jury headed by K Jayakumar selected the award winner.
