Every Malayali is on an effort to help rebuild the state that was devastated in the rain havoc and flood. Joining the mission, young writer Anoop Sasikumar has initiated a model of contribution linked with literature.
In order to encourage those who donate to Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF), Anoop has introduced an auction of characters of his upcoming novel. The writer has put for auction the names of four equally important characters in his novel ‘Gotham’.
The names of those who have contributed at least Rs 2000 to CMDRF will be considered for the characters. Four persons who contributed highest amounts or four selected persons will be chosen for the characters, Anoop said in a Facebook post.
As the story has been planned as a series, others who are not selected for the main characters are likely to be selected for minor characters. Interested persons only need to send the receipt of contribution to CMDRF to Anoop’s mail id (firstname.lastname@example.org) or through Facebook Messenger.
It is noted in the post that the contributions made on or after August 14, 2019 will be considered for the character auction. Many has shared his post stating that only a writer can initiate such a unique trend to promote contribution to flood relief.
