Trending lockdown challenge; make a vegetable garden at home
Thodupuzha: When many people are stuck in their houses during the coronavirus prevention lockdown, Catholic Congress Global Committee president Adv Biju Parayannilam has put forward a challenge to all. He set a model by planting vegetables on his house compound instead of sitting idle and asks everyone to take up the challenge.
Biju is of the opinion that if we plant and maintain vegetables during the 21 days lockdown, it gives energy and happiness to our minds. Also, the shortage of vegetables in the kitchen can be successfully resolved. As people do not use chemical fertilisers and pesticides in kitchen garden, freshness and safety is guaranteed.
When people indulge in farming for 21 days, it would not be too hard to stay indoors. Giving a break to the social works, Biju is engaged in making a kitchen garden at home with his family. Many people from various places encouraged his mission and also took up the challenge.
