How to take care of rose plants
Rose is the queen of flowers. Every garden has rose plants and there are many different varieties of flowers. They are seen in almost every shade of colour. However, even more varieties are being developed which add to the elegance of gardens.
Budded seedlings of new rose varieties are mostly planted. There are certain things to remember while growing them. Usually, we grow saplings bought from nurseries in pots. Saplings can be planted in pots after filling them with soil, organic manure, and sand.
While filling the pots, leave some space so that manure can be added later. Before planting the saplings bought from the nursery, remove their plastic covers and take out some soil from the pot. The budded area should be above the soil. Water the plant well for two weeks.
Remove some leaves, flowers, and buds from the saplings before planting them. This will help the plants grow well. Buds can be nipped later also.
After a month of planting saplings, give them garden mixture. Add grinded egg shells and coconut husks in the pot and also give water. In case of any diseases, remove the affected leaves. Pesticides can be applied.
It is best to place rose plants where they get plenty of sunlight.
