Kanjikkuzhi (Alappuzha): The exhibition at sunflower fields at Karikkuzhi here ended as the season came to an end. The young farmer who cultivated the flowers could earn a decent income from the pass given to tourists.
Cheruvaranam native P S Sujith grew sunflower in 2.5 acres of land in Karikkuzhi fields. He started flower farming with the intention to set up a landscape and to produce sunflower oil. However, tourists were attracted to sunflower fields for photography sessions.
