Cow and calf with 'Milma' logo on forehead grab eyeballs in Wayanad
Ambalavayal (Wayanad): A cow and her calf here have been receiving abundant love from the owners and neighbours ever since the birth of the little one. The animals are unaware of the unexpected attention. But the secret is the white patch on their foreheads which resembles the logo of Milma or the Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation.
The spot similar to the Milma logo made the cow and calf popular. The cows are owned by Cheengeri native Padmanabhan. As the neighbours started coming to the house to see the cows with logo-like patch on head, they are excited.
Padmanabhan and family had not noticed the spot on the cow’s forehead. But after the calf was born the other day, they realised that the patches were similar and resembled the logo of Milma.
The family has been managing dairy farming for decades. They are now known as owners of ‘Milma cows’. The cow and the calf are fondly called Ammini and Kingini by the owners.
