This little brothers prove farming is not a child's play
Wayanad: At a very tender age, every child loves to wander around the fields playing various games, and care less about the inner workings of nature. However, for Aiden and Adrian, the interest was in agriculture, and in exploring the possibilities of the farming sector. Even though they started farming out of curiosity, it later became a part of their life.
Aiden, studying in 4th grade, and Adrian studying in 1st grade have been cultivating vegetables, tapioca, ginger, turmeric. The duo also established a small nursery in their backyard to grow pepper. Pepper variants were brought from a farm and were planted in the nursery.
They also experiment with new innovative ideas. Cultivating Indian Yams in bags filled with dry leaves instead of sand, planting beans in grow bags, and many more innovative ideas were tried out. They also created the manure needed for farming using the waste from kitchen leftovers and cow dung.
They also share their day-to-day updates in farming through their youtube channel.
Agriculture minister P Prasad and various other personalities also applauded the effort of the little farmers.
