Malappuram regional passport office to be reopened

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has ordered the reopening of the Malappuram Regional Passport Office, which was closed down on November 17 after it was merged with the Kozhikode Regional passport office. The order says that the Malappuram passport office should function at the same place it was functioning till now, and the contract made with the building owner should be continued for one more month. P.K. Kunhalikutty MP had filed a public interest litigation in the High court against the closure of the Malappuram passport office.
