Heavy rain lashes South Kerala

South and central regions of Kerala experienced heavy rains on Thursday with the depression formed off Kanyakumari coast intensifying. The depression is expected to travel in a west-north-westerly direction, the IMD said. Sea conditions would be rough off south Tamil Nadu and Southern Kerala in the next 48 hours and fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea, it said. The Met Department has predicted heavy rains in most places of the Lakshadweep Islands from December 1.
