Gujarat polls: Meet the Malayali woman IAS officer who oversees polls in Kutch district

Kutch, the largest district in India with an area of 45,652 square kilometres, is bigger than the entire state of Kerala. But in this western-most part of Gujarat too, Malayalees have a reason to cheer. In the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections, it is a Malayali IAS woman officer who is overseeing the polls in seven constituencies in the Kutch district.

Kutch District Collector Ramya Mohan, hailing from Thiruvananthapuram, spoke to Mathrubhumi News. She said the most challenging part of conducting elections in Kutch is arranging logistics.
