Hope Blasters will put up a great show this season: Sachin
Kochi: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who is also the co-owner of Kerala Blasters FC said he is anticipating that the side would put up a great performance in the fourth season of the Indian Super League (ISL).
Sachin was speaking to Mathrubhumi upon his arrival at Kochi to attend the opening match of the current season. The first match of the season is between last year's finalists Kerala Blasters FC and Atletico de Kolkata (ATK).
“Wishing the team all the success. I’m thankful for the fans for their overwhelming support. With their backing, we will do whatever we can,” he said.
Accompanied by wife Anjali, Sachin arrived at Nedumbaserry airport around 11.50 am and headed straight to hotel.
He will attend the opening ceremony of the fourth edition of ISL. Apart from Sachin, ATK co-owner and former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly, founding chairperson of the tournament Nita Ambani will also be present at the venet.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will perform to some of his most popular numbers. He will be making a blockbuster entry on a bicycle and accompanying him on stage will be Katrina Kaif. Apart from them, as many as 350 artist will also perform to add further flavour to the occasion.
The gates at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will open for fans at 3:30 p.m. sharp as Kochi welcomes the football journey for the next four months.
