Kozhikode: Ace defender Sandesh Jhingan will don the Kerala Blasters’ yellow jersey in the next season of Indian Super League too.

The Blasters management has decided to retain the defender along with midfielder C K Vineeth.

In a message posted on his official Twitter handle, the India international who signed a three-year contract with Blasters, said "I'm staying home, staying in Kerala."

According to reports, the management had earlier considered the names of Mehtab Hossain and Rino Anto.

However, finally they voted in favour of Jhingan.

Jhingan, who has been a key element in Blasters defence since 2014, played pivotal role in taking the team to finals twice.

So far, he has played 41 matches for the Kochi franchise.
