Surat: Kerala has allowed Vidarbha to take a firm grip on their quarterfinal match at Lalbhai Contractor Cricket Stadium here on Saturday.

Resuming their first innings at 32/2 on the third day, Kerala kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were all out for 176, thus conceding a lead of 70 runs to Vidarbha. 

R N Gurbani wreaked havoc on the Kerala batting line-up by scalping 5 wickets. Jalaj Saxena, who made 40 off 117 balls, was the top scorer for Kerala.

Vidarbha were 77/1 at stumps in their second innings at stumps with F Y Fazal (51)and AA Wakhare (7) at the crease. S R Ramaswamy, on 14, was caught by Sanju Samson off a Jalaj Saxena delivery.
