Thiruvananthapuram: The State Human Rights Commission(SHRC) asked the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to the complaint filed against a restaurant in Thiruvananthapuram International Airport by actress Anusree for charging Rs 680 for a cup of coffee and two puffs,

The incident happened on September 23, 2016.

The State Human Rights Commission acting chairperson P Mohandas had asked the Food Safety Commissioner to take action against the restaurant which was fleecing passengers at the International airport.

However, the state food safety department informed the SHRC that only the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India under the Central government has the authority to take action against the restaurant in the airport.

The SHRC has sent the complaint to the NHRC in this scenario.
