Thrissur: The Kerala High Court will announce the verdict on bail plea submitted by Nehru Group chairman P Krishnadas in connection with the death of engineering student Jishnu Pranoy on March 2 (Thursday).

The interim bail of Krishnadas, the first accused in the case, has been extended till March 2.

Meanwhile, the prosecution has informed the court that Krishnadas has a role in the student’s death.

Special Public Prosecutor C P Udayabhanu told court that evidences exist to prove that the harassment by manamgement drove Jishnu to suicide.

Following this, the court directed the officials concerned to present case diary and other documents.

Stating that the CCTV footage on the day Jishnu was allegedly subjected to assault was not available, the prosecution said it suspects that the hard disc has been removed.

The prosecution told the court that the allegations regarding the post-mortem would also be investigated.
