Thiruvananthapuram: The UDF meeting on Friday lashed out at KPCC interim president M M Hassan for inviting KM Mani to the UDF without holding discussions.

The Janata Dal (United) leaders said that Hassan should not have made such a statement when the UDF is shining in the Malappuram victory.

"Our opinion is not against Mani. We are only saying there is no need to call him again and again," the leaders said.

Except K Muraleedharan and CMP leaders, all UDF constituents agreed with the UDF stand.

The UDF leaders decided not to invite Mani to the front, however, Mani can return to UDF any time after clarifying his political stand.

The meeting also decided to include Forward Block as a special invitee to the UDF. The UDF will also stay away from the 60th anniversary celebrations of the EMS government.
