Kottayam:  Kerala Congress (B) leader R Balakrishna Pillai ruled out reports of the party joining the NCP and said discussions on that have not taken place.  Pillai said these kind of talks are baseless and are all lies. “I have heard many lies but not of this kind,” he said, adding these are all fabricated stories.

“Reports on my meeting with NCP president Sharad Pawar on January 5 is not going to happen. I’m not going to meet Pawar. The Kerala Congress (B) has not sought ministership post. It was some allied partners who sought this from the front leadership,” he said.

Pillai also added that he welcomes all Kerala Congress together except that of K M Mani and is in favour of it.  When asked if K M Mani is leaning towards the Left, he said the Left which had tried all means to stop Mani from presenting the Budget in the Assembly, will not join hands with them.
