Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has come out against the remarks made by actor-turned-politician Suresh Gopi during a speech recently.

In a post on his Facebook page, Pinarayi termed ‘unfortunate’ the comments made by Suresh Gopi, who is also the BJP Rajya Sabha MP, during a speech delivered in Mumbai of late.

“What were the hindrances faced by Suresh Gopi in spending the MP fund? Which project was shelved? He owes us an explanation. He alleges that ‘makri koottam’ is creating obstacles. Who are they? What sort of language is this? Dear Suresh Gopi, please exercise political maturity and commitment to the development agenda of Kerala,” Pinarayi said.

“In Kerala, BJP has representatives in local bodies and the party even rules local bodies. Do they too face unpleasant experiences,” he asked.
