Police arrest key accused in Nadapuram Aslam murder case
Kozhikode: The key accused in the Nadapuram Aslam murder has been arrested by the police here on Sunday. Rameesh, a CPM activist and a native of Vellur, was arrested.
Police said that Rameesh was the main man behind hatching the conspiracy and he was the one who had identified Aslam for the murderers.
Aslam was acquitted in the DYFI worker Shibin murder at Thuneri. In the ensuing trouble that broke out after Shibin’s death, Santhosh was injured and the arrested Rameesh is brother of Santhosh.
On August 12, Aslam, a 20-year-old IUML worker was brutally murdered in Nadapuram and his body had 67 stab wounds, including 13 on the face and his hands were chopped. He is said to have been attacked by a six-member gang that arrived in an Innova car.
