Passengers fume as flight lands in Nedumbassery instead of Karipur
Nedumbassery: An Oman Airways flight was taken to the Nedumbassery airport instead of landing at the Karipur airport claiming adverse climatic conditions.
120 passengers on board the flight faced a harrowing time as no arrangements were made for their travel back to Karipur. They protested and refused to alight from the flight.
The airline authorities denied the demand of the passengers to take the flight back to Karipur saying that the duty time of the pilot has ended.
Passengers, who waited for four and half hours in the flight without food and water, created a fuss after learning that no arrangements have been made for their travel to Karipur.
Later police intervened in the matter and asked the passengers to move out of the flight.
Passengers alleged that they were threatened that case will be filed against them if they refuse to alight.
