Kozhikode: The disaster relief fund raised by Mathrubhumi to help the cyclone Ockhi victims has been handed over to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Mathrubhumi Managing Director M. P. Veerendra Kumar handed over the demad draft of Rs 2,06,27,418, raised through the charitable programme ‘Kadalorathinu Oru Kaithangu’, to the Chief Minister at Kozhikode Guest House.

Mathrubhumi Managing Editor P. V. Chandran, Joint Managing Director M. V. Shreyams Kumar, Joint Managing Editor P. V. Nidhish, Director P. V. Gangadharan and Executive Editor P. I. Rajeev were present at the event.

The amount was contributed by Mathrubhumi management, employees and readers. Mathrubhumi has always been a helping hand to the victims of natural disasters including earthquakes in Latur and Gujarat and Chennai floods.
