Management should be ready for a compromise with students: Kodiyeri
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Saturday visited the agitation venue of Students Federation of India (SFI) at the Kerala Law Academy.
CPM leaders P K Sreemathy and V Sivankutty accompanied Kodiyeri.
Saying that the management should be ready for a compromise with the students, Kodiyeri reiterated that what is happening at the academy is a students’ agitation.
"The moves to turn this into a political agitation should be defeated. The demands of the students should be solved by conducting discussions. The disputes over the land need not be dragged into it," Kodiyeri told media persons.
Kodiyeri, who is visiting the venue on the 18th day since the start of the agitation, conducted talks with the SFI leaders at the venue.
Veteran CPM leader VS Achuthanandan and CPI leaders had visited the law academy after proclaiming their solidarity with the agitation.
