KPCC may get interim president
New Delhi: The Congress high command is likely to appoint an interim president for the KPCC.
The post had fallen vacant following the resignation of V M Sudheeran last week.
A decision in this regard will be taken once AICC president Sonia Gandhi, who is currently undergoing treatment abroad, returns to India.
The high command wants the temporary chief to head the party’s state unit until the organisational polls. Sources said that the high command has not yet accepted the resignation submitted by Sudheeran.
Meanwhile, AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi has started discussions in connection with the appointment of the temporary KPCC chief. On Wednesday, senior leader K V Thomas held talks with Rahul.
