Financial expert, brain behind decentralised planning, CPM central committee member, architect of Kudumbashree and advocate of organic farming. Isaac will now serve his fourth term in the Assembly and second time as Minister. Elected to the state Legislature from Mararikkulam (2001,2006) and Alappuzha (2011, 2016). He had served as SFI State President.

He was the first national president of DYFI and had served as State President of Karshaka Sangham and General Manager of party mouthpiece Deshabhimani. Patron of Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Samithi.

Regained Koothuparamba in this elections. She left her job as teacher for full time political work. She has served as editor of ‘Sthree sabdam’ magazine.

This MLA from Kannur is becoming a minister for the second time. In 1971 when Kadanapally was the KSU state president, he defeated E K Nayanar in the Lok Sabha polls in Kasargod when he was only 26 years. When the Congress was split, in 1980 he moved to the LDF. He contested the Assembly elections from Irikkur in 1980 and in 2006 from Edakkad and won comfortably.

Saseendhran has been elected with the highest majority from Kozhikode district.
