Don't show discrimination while removing encroachments: Kummanam
New Delhi: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan asked the government not to discriminate on the basis of caste, religion and beliefs while removing encroachments.
"The government should take strong action without bothering about the support of religious organizations and political parties. The statement of Pinarayi Vijayan regarding the removal of encroachments in Munnar is condemnable. The Chief Minister criticized the way in which the cross was removed from the encroached land. His earlier statements on the issue were not in the same vein," Kummanam told media persons here.
"The chief minister should clarify why he is getting emotional even after the Christian church supported the removal of cross. The unholy alliance between the chief minister and Spirit in Jesus sect should be proved. The encroachments in Munnar will be brought to the notice of Minister of State for Environment and Forest Anil Madhav Dave. I hope that the Centre will intervene strongly in the issue," Kummanam said.
