Dileep's bail plea: HC to pronounce judgement on Monday
Kochi: The Kerala High Court, which has completed the hearing on bail plea submitted by actor Dileep who was arrested in connection with the actress attack case, will deliver its verdict on Monday.
The prosecution in the actress attack case had argued in the court that bail should not be granted to actor Dileep till the mobile phone used to record the visuals of the attack is recovered. The prosecution said strong evidences are existing against the actor in the case.
"Dileep made bids to stop the marriage of the actress. The kingpin in the case is Dileep. The statement of all witnesses point fingers only at Dileep," the Prosecution said, adding that strong evidences exist to substantiate that Dileep and Pulsar Suni had met four times.
“Dileep should be kept in custody for further interrogation, which could lead to more arrests in the case. If released on bail, Dileep can influence others,” the prosecution said.
The defence counsel had argued that as the attacked actress herself has confirmed that there is no personal enmity with the actor, why should the actor be kept under custody. Can a photo showing the accused along with the actor be considered as a proof of conspiracy, Ramkumar asked.
“Dileep is cooperating with the investigation and hence there is no need to keep him in jail,” he added.
