MohandasThiruvananthapuram: Kerala Human Rights Commission Acting Chairperson P Mohandas said that the complaints against police in the state are increasing.

It is normal to file cases when there is an issue, but the mounting complaints suggest that police’s behaviour is causing trouble to the public, he said.

Talking to Mathrubhumi News, he said it is surprising to see even women are coming forward with such complaints against police.

Strong action should be taken if any mistake is found on the part of the police, he said, adding that issuing a warning or transfer will not suffice. Disciplinary action should be initiated against those who pose trouble for the common man in the name of investigation, he said.
