Appunni moves High Court seeking anticipatory bail
Kochi: Appunni alias Sunil Raj, the manager of actor Dileep, has approached the Kerala High court seeking anticipatory bail.
Appunni, who is facing allegations in connection with the actress attack and abduction case, has moved the court after police intensified search for him.
In the bail plea, Appunni says he is no way related to the conspiracy and adds that no evidence exits against Dileep.
Appunni further alleges that an attempt is being made to trap Dileep by making him and Nadhirshah approvers in the case.
"I am getting the details of the case from media reports," he adds.
The police had planned to interrogate Appunni and Dileep together to pick out the contradictions in their statements. Accordingly, the police team reached his residence in Eloor but he was found missing.
However, police have not arraigned him in the case so far. Police are investigating whether Appunni and Nadhirshah attempted to hush up the issue after Pulsar Suni called him from jail demanding money.
Police have also confirmed that Appunni had met Suni’s cellmate Vishnu at Eloor taxi stand.
