Harassment of film crew: Ernakulam Rural SP justifies police action
Muvattupuzha: The Ernakulam Rural SP has sought an explanation from Muvattupuzha DySP on the incident of harassment of crew of the movie Angamaly Diaries at Muvattupuzha the other day.
The SP asked the DySP why action was not taken even after it was found that posters were pasted on the glass of the vehicle, which is a violation of the law.
Meanwhile, the film crew said that the vehicle had a modification certificate.
The workers of Angamaly Diaries filed a complaint to the DGP asking to take action against the police.
Binny Rinky Benjamin, the actress of the film told Mathrubhumi.com, that the police had not asked about the pasting of the stickers on the glass and whether they had permission for doing the same.
The police behaved badly towards the actors including me, Binny said,
Director of Angamaly Diaries Lijo Jose Pellissery had said the other day that the DySP insulted the actors of the film at Muvattupuzha.
The DySP blocked the actors' vehicle in front of the theatre exhibiting Angamaly Diaries.
