10 Keralites in Forbes billionaire list
Kochi: Ten billionaires from Kerala have found place in the Global Billionaire Rankings published by the Forbes. M A Yusuff Ali of Lulu Group is the richest Malayali, according to the list. He is ranked 367 globally and 18th in India.
According to Forbes, his wealth grew from $4 billion to $4.5 billion during the last 12 months. Ravi Pillai, chairman and MD of RP Group of companies, is the second richest Malayali with $3.5 billion of networth. Ravi Pillai is ranked 544th in the global list.
Sunny Varkey, who heads the Gems International School, is the third richest Malayali in the rankings with a networth of $1.9 billion.
He is followed by Joy Alukkas, Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, Shobha Group’s PNC Menon, T S Kalyanaraman of Kalyan Jewellers, VPS Health Care’s Shamsheer Vayalil, Infosys co-founder S D Shibulal and Aster DM Healthcare’s Azad Moopen.
