1. Daal- 3/4 cup
2.Biriyani rice- 2 cups
3.Ghee- 5 tablespoons
5.Tomato(chopped)- 2
6.Red chilli-7
7.Coriander-3 teaspoons
8.Cumin seed-1 1/2 teaspoon
9.Kaskas-4 teaspoons
10.Ginjer-Small piece
11.Garlic- 4 
12.Saffron- 1/4 teaspoon
13.Milk-1 Teaspoon
14.Salt- To taste

How to make

1. Soak dal in water for half an hour.Cook rice well.
2. Fry thinly chopped onion till it turns brown colour
3. Add garlic,red chilli,coriander,kaskas,ginger and tomato into it and fry well
4.Add tomato and saute well
5.Add soaked masoor daal,salt and 1/4 cup of water and cook well
6.Heat saffron in milk and add in rice
7.Mix fried onion and salt in rice and stir well
8.Add one big spoon ghee in a pot and mix 1/3rd of the rice
9.Add half of the dal mixture above it
10.Add 1/3 rd of the rice and spread it
11.Add rest of the dal mixture . Dal biriyani ready.
