Police escorts ‘Godson’ safely home
Hundreds of people gathered to get a glimpse of ‘Godson’, the newborn who was kidnapped from the Kozhencherry district hospital by an unidentified woman, when he reached home escorted by police. Godson is the son of Pastor Saji Chacko of Madathumpadi in Ranni and his wife Anitha. Mowgli dies a hero; saves master from cobra
A three-month-old pet dog ‘Mowgli’, belonging to a retired Municipality staff here, died while fighting off a 7-feet-long cobra. The incident happened at around 3 am on Tuesday when the cobra entered the compound of the house, situated on the BOC lane. READ MORE

Manipur's human rights activist Irom Sharmila, on Tuesday, reached Kerala from Coimbatore on her 45th birthday. She was received by social activist Uma Preman at the airport.

Giant rock falls on vehicles parked near Pallivasal project, miraculous escape for drivers
A giant rock fell on vehicles parked near the Pallivasal tunnel from a height of 2000 feet, destroying three vehicles. Meanwhile, the drivers who was sleeping in these vehicles, escaped unhurt.

Three new bird species sighted at Aralam sanctuary
Three new species of birds have been sighted at the Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary. In the 3-day survey, 150 birds have been sighted.
