Applications for admission to the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, 2018 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) can be submitted online at from 1.12.2017 to 1.1.2018. Facility for paying application fee would be available till January 2, 2018.

The JEE (Main) to be held on 8.4.2018 (Sunday), is for admission to the undergraduate programmes in Engineering/Technology and Architecture/Planning Programme as well as the undergraduate Science Programmes at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and Centrally funded Technology Institutes (CFTI).

It is also an eligibility screening test for appearing for the Joint Entrance Examinations (Advanced) for admission to the Indian Institute of technology (IIT) for the undergraduate, Integrated Masters and Dual Degree Programmes in Engineering, Science, Pharmacy and Architecture. Only 2,24,000 students coming at the top from different categories in Paper I of JEE (Main) would become eligible to appear for the JEE (Advanced) 2018, to be held on 20.5.2018 (Sunday). Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland and Odhisha have joined the JEE (Main) system. So those seeking admission in these states to the Programmes to which admissions were made based on the State level examinations should also apply online for JEE (Main).
