Varanasi: The Institute of Management Studies of Banaras Hindu University has invited applications for admission to its two-year, four-semester Post-Graduate Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for the Academic Batch 2018-20.

Master of Business Administration (MBA), with specializations in Marketing/Human Resource Management /Finance/Operations Management/ Information Technology has an intake of 46 seats which is likely to be enhanced to 92.

Master of Business Administration - International Business (MBA - IB) also has 46 seats and has specializations in Marketing/ Human Resource Management /Finance/Operations Management/ Information Technology / Global Business Operations.

There is a minimum required strength of 5 students, in each elective group.

Eligibility: Applicant should have a Graduate degree under 10+2+3 Pattern or a Degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law or a Post-graduate degree in any discipline, obtained from any Indian University/Institution recognized by AIU/AICTE, securing minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST applicants).

Those appearing at the qualifying examination can also apply subject to furnishing a certificate from the Head of the Institution where he/she is pursuing the course of study, to the effect that he/she has appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying examination to be concluded on or before June 30, 2018 and also submission of the mark-sheet of the qualifying examination by October 5, 2018, if the applicant is offered provisional admission.

Admission Procedure: Admission will be made on the basis of combined merit of the candidates in CAT conducted by IIM (50%), Academic Records (20%) and Group Discussion & Personal Interview (30%). Candidates, short-listed on the basis of CAT 2017 score will be called for Group Discussion and Interview which will be conducted in the Institute as per schedule decided by the Admission Committee of the Institute.

Fee Structure: Fee for the first year will be Rs.49807/- and for second year, Rs.49081/-.  Hostel Fee excluding Mess Charges will be approximately, Rs.6700/- per annum. Fee is to be paid in cash or by using Credit/Debit Card transfer at the Fee Counter.

Reservation: 15%, 7.5% and 27% seats respectively are reserved for SC, ST and NC-OBC categories. DA cate3gory will have 3% reservation on horizontal basis.

Seats to the extent of 15% of the intake will be filled under ‘Supernumerary Admissions’, in ‘Paid Seats Scheme’. Those willing to take admission in this scheme, should fill up their options at the time of Groups Discussion & Interview. Admission under paid seats will be made after completion of regular seat admissions. A separate merit list will be drawn from the remaining candidates who are willing to be considered for admission under Paid Seat Scheme as per option submitted by the candidates at the time of Group Discussion and Interview. Selected candidates in this scheme, will be required to pay annual fee of Rs.1,50,000/- as the first installment at the time of provisional admission. Second installment of Rs. 1,50,000/- will have to be paid before commencement of third semester classes, failing which the student will not be registered as a regular student in the third semester classes. The Demand Draft of Rs. 1,50,000/- will have to be deposited in the Institute at the time of provisional admission. Admit Card will be issued only after the receipt of the Demand Draft of Rs.1,50,000/-.These amounts are in addition to the regular fee and are to be paid in cash/Credit /Debit Card at the Fee Counter of the University.

Application: Application can be submitted online at latest by 11.59.59 pm on 22 January 2018. Applicant should have a valid email id and mobile no. for registration, preferably the same they have used for CAT 2017 registration purpose.

Application Fee: Application Fee is Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 800/- for SC/ST) to be payable online, as per guidelines provided on the Admission Portal. Applicants must keep sufficient number of extra copies of the same photograph, which has been pasted on application form for future use, as and when needed.
