Here's all you need to know about MBBS/BDS Counselling for Deemed/Central Uty
The Online Counselling process for allotment to seats for MBBS/BDS courses in Deemed/Central University for 2017 has commenced at www.mcc.nic.in.
All candidates including candidates from Andhra Pradesh/Telangana/Jammu & Kashmir, who qualified for NEET UG 2017, are eligible for Deemed/Central University counselling.
The students who take admission and secure admission in Deemed Universities pursuant to the second round of counselling conducted by the DGHS shall not be eligible to participate in any other counselling.
Registration can be done up to 5 pm on 11th July, 2017. After Registration, candidates can fill choices from 7th July, 2017, to 5 pm on 12th July, 2017.
After online registration, candidate can fill in choice of Institutions/courses in order of preference from among those available.
Candidate can give as many choices as they wish, during online choice filling, in the order of candidates’ preference. But hey should fill choices of only those institutions/courses that they will accept if they are allotted. Once choice is filled in, it can be modified before locking it. During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of the submitted choices. If candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked at 5 pm of last date of choice locking.
Indicative Seat allotment (Mock counselling) will be held in between, before 11th July, 2017 to give the candidates an idea on the seats they are likely to get based on the options submitted by them till a time-point. During Mock Counselling, choices submitted by the candidates will be processed and indicative seat that is likely to be available at that point of time would be displayed. This is done to help the candidate to refine the selection of choices in a more effective and efficient manner.
Round 1 allotment result will be published on 15th July, 2017. Those allotted seats, have to report to the allotted Medical/Dental Colleges against 1st Round between 16th July and 5 pm on 22nd July, 2017.
The following Original documents, along with attested photocopies of documents, are required at the time of Joining/ Reporting in allotted Medical / Dental College.
- Admit Cards of Exam issued by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Result/ Rank letter issued by CBSE
- Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric Certificate does not bear the same)
- Class 10th Certificate
- Class 10+2 Certificate
- Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
- Eight (8) Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application form
- Provisional allotment letter generated on-line
- Proof of identity
- SC/ST/OBC/Orthopedic Physical Disability Certificate (if applicable), issued by the competent authority in the standard format
- NRI Document to verify NRI status (if applicable)
- Minority status document if religious/linguistic minority (if applicable)
Candidates without original certificates/documents will not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical/ Dental College. Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute/ College/University and come for admission with a certificate stating that ‘their original certificates are deposited with the Institute / College / University’, will not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical/Dental College.
Joining at allotted Institution is necessary, to continue in the allotment process. Candidates are required to join allotted institution/college and complete the admission formalities and also exercise option to participate in next round(s), at allotted college, during admission process.
If a candidate allotted a seat fails to join the allotted college/seat within stipulated time, the allotted seat will be cancelled and candidate will not be eligible to take part in further Rounds of the online Counselling.
Round 2: Newly created/sanctioned seats that could not be included in first round due to non-reporting / late reporting/ reporting after start of first round of online allotment process will be included in second round.
Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 1st round (Group–I), Registered candidates, whose 1st round of allotted seat was cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission (Group II), Candidates who have reported at allotted institute during 1st round of allotment and submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes (Group–III), are eligible for seat allotment in 2nd round.
Those who have not reported at Allotted Institute during reporting period of allotment in 1st round & hence not admitted to seat allotted during round -1, those who have reported & withdrawn (Resigned) from counselling at Allotted Institute, those who have become non-eligible due to change of category, candidates who have not opted for up-gradation during round-2 etc; are not eligible for 2nd Round of allotment.
Fresh Choices for Round 2: All eligible candidates who desire to take part in second round of online allotment will have to submit fresh choices during choice submission period and lock the choices during period of locking. There will not be any indicative allotment in round-2 of allotment. Locked choices of the candidates would be processed and result will be published.
Exercising of Choices and Locking for round 2 & new Registration can be done between 1st August 2017 and 5 pm on 4th August 2017. Registration will be open up to 5 pm on 4th August, 2017 only.
Candidates who could not register before Round-1 of counselling can register at beginning of round- 2 and participate in Round 2 allotment.
The choices of candidates, who have submitted option for participation in the second round during the reporting period for the first round seat allotment, would be initialized. The choices remaining after allotment, submitted before round-1 will stand cancelled and candidates are required to submit fresh choices for round 2. Choices which were filled during 1st round of choice filling will be null & void.
Candidates are not required to fill up seat which is already allotted to them (already joined), in their choices during Round-2.
If a candidate gives option to participate in second round at the time of joining college from first round allotment, but later changes the decision and want to continue study at already allotted Medical /Dental College, the candidate should not submit fresh choice(s) during the choice submission period before the second round of counselling. Such a candidate will retain the already allotted seat.
If candidate is not allotted any seat from the submitted choices during the round-2, then also the candidate will retain her/his earlier allotted seat.
Those candidates, who do not submit fresh choices for the round-2 counselling, would not be considered. He/she will retain the already allotted (joined) seat, if any.
Round 2 Result of allotment will be published on 8th August, 2017.
In case a candidate is allotted seat during the second round of allotment process, the seat allotted during the first round will be automatically cancelled immediately (and allotted to somebody else) and candidate will have to join the college/seat allotted during second round after obtaining online generated relieving letter from college allotted in Round-1.
Those allotted seats have to report at the allotted Medical/Dental College against 2nd Round allotment between 9th August and 5 pm on 16th August, 2017.
Those joining the second round seat will not be allowed to resign from allotted 2nd round seat.
Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotment in the 2nd round of the seat allotment and have submitted fresh choices as per the vacancies shown before the second round of counselling, are eligible for Mop-up round.
Candidates who have joined Round-2, candidates resigned in Round -1, not-joined/not-reported candidates of Round -1 and 2 are not eligible for mop-up round.
Seat matrix for Mop up will be displayed on 18th August, 2017. Choice filling for Mop up can be done on 19th and 20th August 2017.
Processing of Result for Mop up round will be on 21st August, 2017. Candidates have to report at the allotted Deemed University between 22nd August and 27th August, 2017.
Transfer of vacant seats to Deemed University for final Mop up will be done after 5 pm on 27th August, 2017. The vacant seats if any due to non-joining/ non-reporting will be reverted back for Deemed Universities mop-up counselling with 10 times waiting list and candidates will be selected from that list only.
