Kothmanagalam: The Kothamangalam Agro Service Society has taken a leap into an organic future by producing high quality saplings of five different types of vegetables. A total of 75,000 saplings have been generated by the society that works under the Agriculture Development Welfare Department.

The organic farming project is being run by the District Panchayat and the saplings will be distributed to the various Kudumbashree units to be planted on the fallow land under the Kothamangalam block. The members of the Agro service team took the lead in developing the saplings. Ernakulam Principal Agriculture Officer, M Sreedevi and Kothmangalam Agriculture Asst. Director Lissy Antony had visited the nursery to check the quality of the saplings.
