Kochi: The 36th edition of the Cochin Flower Show will commence tomorrow. Organised by the Ernakulam District Agri-Horticulture Society, the show will be hosted at the Ernakulathappan Ground from December 29 to January 7.

More than 50,000 species of flowering plants will be featured in the show. Exotic varieties of roses and rare plants like adenium, dahlia, gerbera, petunia and variants of marigold will be exhibited.

Thailand Orchids and the Pitcher plant, carnivorous plant that traps the prey are the other major attractions this year.

A.C. Moideen, Minister for Industries and Commerce, will inaugurate the expo.

Dry gardens made of succulent plants and stones and the Mowgli themed dry flower arrangement will be other attractions here.
