The scientists at the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research in Bengaluru have developed a new species in the rose variety named Arka Savi.

The high yielding hybrid variant has purplish-pink flowers.

The flowers bloom in bunches. The plant that will provide a boost to the cut flower industry will bear up to 30 ton flowers per year in one-acre cultivation.

The flowers will remain fresh for 5-6 days.
