Arka Savi to boost the cut flower industry
The scientists at the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research in Bengaluru have developed a new species in the rose variety named Arka Savi.
The high yielding hybrid variant has purplish-pink flowers.
The flowers bloom in bunches. The plant that will provide a boost to the cut flower industry will bear up to 30 ton flowers per year in one-acre cultivation.
The flowers will remain fresh for 5-6 days.
